Every artist has a reason they create, and for Printz Tone, the reason is simple: feeling. Growing up in Clinton, NC and later traveling across the world, he developed an understanding that the best songs are the ones that immediately trigger emotion. Whether it’s nostalgia, warmth, or movement, that feeling is the thing people remember. He summed it up perfectly: “Music is all about the feel… I want people to feel my music.”
That idea guided him while making “You Got Me.” Instead of building a concept-heavy track or a dramatic narrative, Printz wanted a song that reflects the natural joy of summer. “It’s a summertime feel-good song,” he explains. The record captures the excitement of stepping out, being around people, and letting the moment take over. The bounce, the smooth delivery, the melody all of it is crafted to make the listener smile. And as Printz emphasizes, “I want my listeners to feel good… it should almost make you want to dance a little.” Mission achieved.
