Professionally known as JonRea and recognized as the “Ladi of RNB,” La’Tasha Reaves is an independent Neo-Soul recording artist, actress, author, and creative entrepreneur based in South Carolina. With a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management from Limestone College, she strategically blends business expertise with artistic vision to maintain full creative control over her brand and career. Her journey into entertainment began in modeling before transitioning into acting, where she earned the lead role of Mrs. Trish Paul in the stage production Nothing Happened. She has since appeared in several independent film projects, including Success, Lies and Betrayal, Business & Pleasure, Karma #3, Black and Blue Tears, Toxic Alien Zombie Babes from Outer Space, Stay Woke 2: Holy Disciples, Turnstate, and Momma I Gotta Job, showcasing her versatility and commitment to storytelling.
JonRea has also collaborated with Geechee One Films and Dusthouse Films, notably contributing to the film Suga Babies, where she assisted in writing the theme song. These experiences allowed her to merge her musical and acting talents, contributing both on-screen and behind the scenes in songwriting and creative development. As a recording artist, she creates a soulful fusion of Neo-Soul, spoken word, and jazz-inspired R&B, with projects such as The Journey and Manifested Arrival (released March 26, 2023) available on all major streaming platforms. Her music centers on authenticity, empowerment, emotional storytelling, and community connection. Beyond music and film, she is a published author of Empowered Defiance (2019), followed by Mirror Imperfections and the companion journal Road to Owning Your Flaws, through which she shares messages of resilience, healing, and personal growth.
